Struggling with both unseen and visible inner demons.
An overwhelming veil of cancer kept at bay with drink and ivory
An overpowering shroud of disease kept away by substances like alcohol and ivory.
The air leaves my lungs and with it takes retribution
As I exhale, the air takes away with it the due punishment or revenge.
I decide where I stand now
I reaffirm my determination and choice of where I stand.
