Despite the challenges, trying to muster courage.
You're convinced she wants you,
Believing that the person desires you romantically.
And you will have your way,
Confident in achieving your desires.
Then why did you ignore her?
Questioning why attention was neglected.
While the Diva sat upon your knee

The odds are good

An impression that you can't forget
Highlighting an unforgettable impression.
An unexpected visit means more to you than her
Valuing unexpected visits more than the person does.
The years have played some cruel tricks it seems
Reflecting on the impact of time and life's challenges.
She's not reacting like you thought she would
Noticing a lack of expected reactions from the person.
Oh wasted, wasted, wasted
Expressing a sense of wasted opportunities or efforts.
You're acting like a fool
Criticizing oneself for foolish behavior.
The floor belongs to you, it's yours
Asserting ownership of a situation or relationship.
That's an image that she can't forget
Suggesting a lasting image or impact on the person.
