Life had a different quality or essence
Without the sun people lived
People existed without the presence of the sun
Groped about without the moon
People navigated in darkness without the moon
With candles sowing was done
Farming activities were conducted using candles
Planting performed with torched
Planting crops was done using torches
At the time we lived
During that period
Without the sunshine
Surviving without sunlight
Who had covered up our sun
Questioning the disappearance of the sun
And who had hidden our moon?
Questioning the absence of the moon
Without the moonlight stumbled
Struggling in darkness without moonlight
With our fists fumbled the land
Searching or working on land clumsily without proper guidance
With our hands we sought out roads
Seeking paths or directions using hands
With hands roads, with fingers swamps
Using fingers to navigate difficult terrains
We could seek out the sun
People were able to search for the sun
Who spy out the moon?
Asking who would look for the moon
Who else if not God
Suggesting God as the one who might do so
The one son of God?
Speculating that God or God's son would seek out the moon
