Lyrics

I work in a saloon,

I am employed at a bar.

Pulling shit pints for shit wages.

I serve low-quality drinks for meager pay.

It's a busy night tonight

It's a bustling evening.

And the bar is full

The bar is crowded.

Of all the girls I've ever shagged,

The patrons include past romantic encounters.

Or tampered with, or kissed,

Refers to various intimate interactions.

Or even just fancied.

The bar is filled with people the narrator has desired.

A pub full of conquests, knockbacks.

The pub is a mix of successful and failed relationships.

Between the laughter I can hear my name and then,

Amidst the noise, the narrator hears their name being called.

Through the gap between the swing doors and floor,

Observing from a distance, the narrator spots someone approaching.

I see your feet.

The person enters through the swinging doors, catching the narrator's attention.

You push open the doors and walk in and

The person walks in, causing a stir.

As always all heads turn.

Upon arrival, everyone's focus shifts to the newcomer.

And the room becomes silent,

The room falls silent, except for a specific sound.

except for the sound of your DM's scuffing on the floor.

The distinctive noise of the person's footwear is audible.

You stroll through the jealous gazes straight to the bar,

The person confidently moves through envious stares to the bar.

Smile, and ask me for some exotic cocktail

The person smiles and orders a complex drink.

But I don't know how to make it.

The narrator is unfamiliar with making the requested cocktail.

So you just shrug, smile again, turn around and leave.

Despite the limitation, the person reacts casually, smiles, and departs.

I pull another pint.

The narrator resumes their routine, serving another pint.
