Life involves giving opportunities despite uncertainties
I studied what the Word says and followed the seasons
Studying religious teachings and adapting to change
Since I was a child I decided to follow reason
Choosing rationality from a young age
So many things I learned the early days in school
Early education imparted crucial lessons
These lessons are forever the blessings are renewed
Learnings endure and blessings are continuous
This is my journey, I tell my story
Emphasizing the personal narrative as a journey
And I'm not worried, Give him the glory
Not anxious, attributing success to a higher power
As the years went by I tried to do what's right
Striving for righteousness over time
I tried so many things everything became a fight
Encountering difficulties in various endeavors
I stayed in school and listened to the system
Adhering to educational guidelines
I did what I was told and offered no resistance
Complying without opposition
I was so good at this I even went to college
Successful navigation through academic pursuits
I joined the military and added to my knowledge
Adding to knowledge through military involvement
Looking back at my youth I have some regrets
Reflecting on past actions with remorse
All the lessons I was taught were put through the test
Lessons learned were examined through experience
In the later years - I grew much older
Maturity and growth with advancing age
I decided to follow Truth - and grew much bolder
Choosing to embrace truth with increased confidence
Deception all around - everybody's telling stories
Recognizing prevalent deceit and narratives
Reality sinks in - and it builds up all your worries
Reality causing mounting concerns
Then I realized - there's only hope in Christ
Discovery of hope in faith
He pulled me out of darkness - and now I recognize
Personal transformation through faith realization
He changed me from within - He gave me a new song
Internal change leading to a new perspective
And now I sing his praise - and I sing Hallelujah
Expressing gratitude and praising religiously
