All the Rage
Breaking the Chains: Unleashing the Inner FireLyrics
We pacify everyday life
We attempt to calm the struggles of daily existence.
I bite my tongue
I refrain from speaking impulsively.
To keep the words
To prevent the expression of thoughts.
From spilling out
To avoid revealing inner feelings.
Eject! Eject!
A call to reject negative influences.
Don't let them in
A plea to keep out detrimental forces.
Coz all they bring is the negative
Because they only bring negativity.
Everyone's left to compromise
People are forced to make concessions.
But you don't have to follow
But there's no obligation to conform.
Them into the line
To resist following the crowd mindlessly.
All the rage
An intense feeling of anger or frustration.
Deep inside
Deep within, this anger seeks an outlet.
Will find a way to burst
It will eventually break through one's inner self.
Right through your insides
Affecting the core of one's being.
And once again
Repeated engulfment in flames of anger.
You're consumed by fire
Exhausted by the recurring intensity.
I'm just so tired of all
Frustration with overused metaphors.
These fucking metaphores
Annoyance with repetitive expressions.
Again and again
Questioning where to start addressing the issues.
Where to begin?
An acknowledgment of the challenges.
It's a sad, long day
A day filled with sadness.
But I'm winging it
Navigating challenges with improvisation.
Look around at all the hate
Observing the pervasive negativity.
We've had enough
Expressing that enough is enough.
We've had enough
Reiterating the exhaustion with negativity.
With all these fears
Amidst fears, we neglect to breathe.
We forget to breathe
Suppressing emotions and forgetting self-care.
We push it down
Forcing emotions down, yet still experiencing pain.
But still we bleed
The internal struggles continue to cause harm.
With all this hate
Amidst hatred, we try to consolidate.
We consolidate
Attempting to gather and cope with negativity.
Blocking our dreams
Blocking aspirations due to overwhelming negativity.
We are left to drown
Left submerged and overwhelmed by challenges.
We have to break out
A call to break free from the cycle.
We have to strive
An urging to strive for a better situation.
Or all the rage will die
Without action, the intense frustration will diminish.
