Witnessing the individual facing formidable obstacles and feeling abandoned.

Said something 'bout strength, then just forgot her

The crew acknowledging strength but ultimately forgetting or neglecting the individual.

Hit land, a beach then forest stood

But I've known they've known

Believing the crew was aware of the individual's struggles all along.
