There were so many people who have walked this earth
Many individuals have traversed this world.
Thinkin that they know the truth
Believing they possess the ultimate truth.
So they often crititize the way I believe
Criticism often arises about my beliefs.
And they say "Tell me, tell me where is your proof?"
Questioning me, demanding evidence for my faith.
I tell them Jesus was wounded for my transgressions
I assert that Jesus suffered for my wrongdoing.
He was bruised for my iniquities
He endured pain for my immoral deeds.
They're gonna know that it's true
The truth of this will become evident.
He walked upon the water, oh yes He did
He displayed miraculous abilities, walking on water.
And this same Jesus calmed the raging sea
This same Jesus had the power to calm turbulent seas.
He healed a man that was lame one day, oh yes He did
He healed a man who was physically impaired.
And from sinking sand He lifted me
Rescuing me from a precarious situation.
But He was wounded for my transgressions
Reiterating that He suffered for my wrongdoing.
And He was buised for my iniquites
Emphasizing His bruises for my immoral acts.
They're gonna know that it's true
The undeniable truth will be recognized.
Jesus, He was sent from the Father
Jesus, sent by the Father.
Jesus, the great Messiah
Jesus, the esteemed Messiah.
Jesus, He's bread for the hungry
Jesus, providing sustenance for the hungry.
Jesus, and He's water for the thristy
Jesus, quenching the thirst of the needy.
Jesus, oh, just like He said
Jesus, fulfilling His promises.
Ever knee shall bow, every tongue confess
Every individual will humbly submit, confessing.
That Jesus is Lord, that Jesus is Lord
Acknowledging that Jesus is the Lord.
