Strangers in the Wind
Journey of Memories: Unveiling Life's Changes in the WindLyrics
Headin' out of the city life,
Leaving the urban lifestyle
Suitcase full of dreams
Carrying aspirations in a suitcase
Trying to find some kind of memories
Searching for meaningful memories
That didn't hold a distant scheme
Avoiding deceptive plans or ideas
Something she said I can't remember
Unable to recall something she said
But I answered her in turn all the same
Responding in a similar manner
And what I saw in her style
Recognizing a familiar style in her
Well I'd seen it before
Seeing something familiar but different
But somehow it looked quite different this time
Perceiving a change in her style
Goodbye to all the friends I never had
Bidding farewell to non-existent friends
Do you still remember me
Questioning if she remembers
Takin' care of all your business
Managing personal affairs
You give it all away
Generously sharing everything
And I wonder with all your broken dreams
Reflecting on shattered dreams and vows
and promises
Doubting if she truly knew him
If you ever knew me at all
Questioning recognition due to aging
For we are older now
Noticing the passage of time
But somehow you still look the same.
Appearance unchanged despite age
Say a prayer for the one you need
Asking for prayers for someone special
Too many here come back Saturday
Many distractions on Saturdays
Don't be concerned
Advising not to worry
There's too many words to say
Too many unspoken words
Some things will never change
Accepting unchangeable things
So many faces seemed to pass me by
Observing faces passing by
I've had my share yes it's been used
Experiencing personal challenges
Money talks, that's what they'd say to me
Being unaffected by materialism
I'd only laugh at you confused
Laughing at the influence of money
What used to be an old apartment
Transformation of living space
They've built a multi-colored jug-saw in the sky
New, vibrant structure in the sky
And where the children would play
Changes in the environment, absence of children
Well, they're not there anymore
Loss of childhood scenes
But the rooms are nice with numbers on the door
Nice rooms, but impersonal with numbered doors
But in her eyes there's a place for me
Recognition of a place in her eyes
An open heart where I can hide away
Embracing a welcoming, open heart
Forget the changes
Accepting life changes
As life rearranges to something new
Adapting to new circumstances
And will she wait for me
Wondering if she will wait
When all is said and done will she still be free
Questioning her freedom after all is done
or will the chance be lost
Potential loss of an opportunity
Fro love is so hard to take
Expressing the difficulty of love
When dreams in the night are blown away
Nightly dreams fading away
In her hand lies an opened book
An open book in her hand
She gives a sign then she turns the page
Signaling a turning point
And in her smile she knows how it all will end
Anticipation of the inevitable end
But in my eyes she sees
Recognition of being strangers
We're strangers in the wind
Acknowledgment of a transient connection
