The Boat
Navigating Life's Depths: The Boat by Bee Appleseed UnveiledLyrics
We capsized the boat
We faced a significant challenge or obstacle.
Right off the shoreline
This challenge occurred right at the edge of stability or safety.
And I treaded your water
I experienced your difficulties or challenges.
And you treaded mine
You experienced my difficulties or challenges.
And we could see
We gained a unique perspective, possibly a deeper understanding of life.
The world from beneath the waves
We confronted life's experiences from a different angle.
And we were scared
We felt fear about the unknown possibilities that life presents.
Of what it had to offer
We were apprehensive about what life had in store for us.
Now we flipped it over
We turned the situation around.
As we were drenched to the bone
We were completely soaked.
And I pointed out that cotton is so cold
I observed that cotton, a fabric, can be very cold when wet.
And there's no exceptions
There are no exemptions or ways around certain truths.
To the fact that we'll all grow old
We will all age, a universal reality.
Unless we die, which scares me
Death is equally frightening to me as life is.
Equally as much as life
Expressing fear of both life and death.
Then we got back in
We re-entered the challenging situation.
The boat
We found refuge in the boat.
As we rested
We took a moment to recover.
Knowing we were safely afloat
We knew we were secure and stable.
As we paddled back in
We returned to the origin with our hands guiding us.
With our hands to the shore
Our hands were affected, possibly by the cold or strain.
And they were numb
We had no alternative.
We had no choice
We were compelled by circumstances.
Because we had no oars
We lacked the tools or resources to navigate.
Yeah we were safe again
We returned to a state of safety.
But at what cost?
Raising a question about the price paid for safety or security.
What was it all for?
Pondering the purpose or meaning of the entire experience.
