And fade into oblivion

Is it my vanity
Questioning whether actions stem from vanity or sincerity.
Or sincerity
Questioning the sincerity that seeks atonement.
That begs to atone
Pondering the need for redemption.
Whatever it is
Reflecting on an undefined quality.
Who could forgive
Pondering who could forgive.
Now I must bring this to a close
Deciding to conclude the communication.
With your kind I rarely get a chance to speak
Expressing gratitude and bidding farewell after a pleasant evening.
