Then destiny befell me, and I became a eunuch

Summing up my life humorously...
You see I was plucked out of my town when I was just fourteen
I was taken from my hometown at the age of fourteen.
My palsied parts they quivered, it humoured our fair king
My trembling body amused our fair king.
And he raised me as his own and did things to me so awful
He adopted me and subjected me to terrible things.
I joked and danced a merry jig, just so he would chortle

You halfwit!
You fool!
You freak!
You abnormal person!
That’s my life in jest...
Summing up my life humorously...
Though my king was wrathful, tyrannical, and sure, maybe even a little extreme at times
Though my king was harsh and extreme, he maintained high trade and low prices.
He kept trade high, and prices of necessities like wheat, goats and slaves low
He ensured affordability for essentials like wheat, goats, and slaves.
And people never saw the side of him that I did
People didn't see the side of him that I witnessed.
The king who seized every day with both soft hands.
The king who embraced each day with gentleness.
The despot who always saw the best in people!
The despot who believed in the best in people!
So before you pass judgement on my captor,
