Feathers parted like a woman's legs
The feathers of the bird parted, resembling the opening of a woman's legs.
And the bird was no longer mocking
The mockingbird stopped mocking and instead seemed to be pleading or requesting something.
It was asking, it was praying but the cat
The mockingbird was asking or praying, but the cat, as a dominant force, remained indifferent.
Striding down through centuries
The cat, a symbol of power, moved confidently through time.
Would not listen
Despite the plea, the cat refused to heed or respond.
I saw it crawl under a yellow car
The observer witnessed the cat crawling under a yellow car.
With the bird to bargain it to another place
The cat carried the bird under the car, perhaps to negotiate or exchange it in another location.
