Lyrics

There once was a lizard

Introducing a lizard

Whose name was Bob

The lizard's name is Bob

He liked eating crickets

Bob enjoys eating crickets

And lived on a rock

Bob's habitat is a rock

He ate so many crickets they started to hide

Bob's excessive cricket consumption forces crickets to hide

And Bob got hungry so he left his rock behind

Bob leaves his rock in search of a solution due to hunger

He sought out the wizard to answer his plight

Bob seeks advice from a wizard

And the wizard, he warned him and related his advice

The wizard warns and advises Bob

The bigger the lizard, the bigger its prey

Advice: Larger lizards target larger prey

His hunger becomes him every day

Bob's hunger intensifies daily

And he gets bigger, and longer, and fatter with time

Bob grows physically and mentally due to his insatiable hunger

And the race to consume

The competitive drive to consume dominates Bob's thoughts

Consumes his mind

Bob returns home, still hungry and frustrated

So Bob went back home

Bob realizes he can diversify his diet

Still hungry and angered

Despite hunger, Bob experiences a revelation

But he realized

Bob doesn't have to stick to crickets

He didn't have to eat crickets, and he looked up

Bob looks up and discovers a new prey - birds

And you know what he saw?

Bob notices a bird, sparking a shift in his diet

A bird!

Bob starts consuming larger birds

Chickadees, robins, eagles, and hawks

Listing various bird species

The birds he ate got bigger leaving nothing to rot

Bob faces a new problem - larger birds leave nothing to waste

His belly got bigger nearly ten feet in size

Bob's belly expands significantly

Birds wouldn't suffice

Even larger prey is needed

The bigger the lizard, the bigger its prey

Reiteration: Bigger lizard requires bigger prey

His hunger becomes him every day

Bob's daily hunger continues to define him

And he gets bigger, and longer, and fatter with time

Bob's physical size increases over time

And the race to consume

The constant pursuit of consumption dominates Bob's thoughts

Consumes his mind

Consumption becomes an obsession for Bob

Bob was still hungry

Bob remains hungry despite the shift to birds

And birds weren't enough

Birds alone no longer satisfy Bob's appetite

He chowed down on pumas and cheetahs and stuff

Bob escalates to larger prey like pumas and cheetahs

And when they were all gone he moved onto the rocks

Bob consumes everything in his path, including rocks

He munched on the countryside and slurped on the streams

Bob's voracious appetite extends to the countryside and streams

He ate the whole continent and drank up the seas

Bob devours the entire continent and drinks up the seas

Finally he finished off the earth with one bite and ate the moon for dessert

Bob's insatiable hunger leads him to consume the Earth and the Moon

The bigger the lizard, the bigger its prey

Reiteration: Larger lizard, larger prey, constant hunger

His hunger became him every day

Bob's daily hunger becomes his defining trait

And he got bigger, and longer, and fatter with time

Bob's physical size continues to grow unabated

And the race to consume

The obsessive race to consume dominates Bob's mind

Consumed his mind

Consumption becomes an all-encompassing force in Bob's life

There once was a lizard

Reintroducing the lizard (Bob)

Whose name was Bob

Bob's evolving taste: planets

He liked eating planets

Bob's new habitat is the stars, indicating an astronomical scale of consumption

And lived in the stars

Bob's insatiable hunger extends beyond Earth to celestial bodies
