Lyrics
I'm making a list
I am creating a catalog
Of all my flaws
Documenting my imperfections
It's not done yet
The list is incomplete
Things I should do but won't
Tasks I ought to do but will avoid
And want but can't
Desires I have but cannot fulfill
And all the stuff I just don't get
Things that puzzle me
The demons I struggle with
Inner struggles with personal demons
The fears I fight
Battles with fears
And all those I refuse to face
Avoidance of confronting certain issues
The people I hurt
Admitting to causing harm to others
The pain I cause
Acknowledging the pain I inflict
And how I try to avoid the weight
Attempting to evade the burden of responsibility
Everything I touch turn blue
Expressing a tendency for things to go wrong with my touch
Everything I touch turn blue
Reiteration of a negative impact
Everything I touch turn blue
Continued emphasis on things turning blue
If you stay too long
Warning that staying too long may lead to negative consequences
I'll do it to you
Implying potential harm if one stays around
I can't blame it on a curse
Rejecting the idea of blaming it on external factors
Or chemistry
Denying a connection to curses or chemistry
It's not a natural born thing
Claiming it's not an innate characteristic
Not my blood my heart
Excluding blood, heart, and DNA from the cause
Or my DNA
Attributing the issue mainly to the mind
It's mostly in my head
Reaffirming the mental nature of the problem
So I'm making this list
Continuing the creation of the list
It's getting long
The list is becoming extensive
There seems to be no end
No apparent end to the list
And the things I can't do now
Limitations on what I can currently accomplish
They fall back on you
The consequences affect you
My love and best friend
Referring to a significant other as my love and best friend
Everything I touch turn blue
Repetition of the negative impact of my touch
Everything I touch turn blue
Reiteration of the recurring issue
Everything I touch turn blue
Continued emphasis on the negative transformation
If you stay too long
Warning about potential negative consequences of prolonged association
I'll do it to you
Implying a risk of causing harm if one stays too long
