As we walk t’ward the mountain
Embarking on a journey towards the mountain.
O the wind and rain’re howling
Symbolizing challenging and turbulent conditions.
And all history is scowling as we go
Reflecting on a history filled with disapproval as the journey progresses.
Amidst all the beef and cussing
Amidst conflicts and arguments.
And all the strife and fussing
Dealing with discord and contention.
And all the wretched hustling down the road
Encountering unpleasant and relentless pursuits along the way.
As we gather to the mountain
Gathering together towards the mountain.

Uniting towards the Creator of all.
Our disputes’ll all be settled
Anticipating resolution of disagreements.
And we’ll hammer down our metals
Symbolizing the forging of tools for cultivation.
And make spades to keep the garden ever more
Creating instruments to tend to the garden perpetually.
As we stand there round it’s base
Standing around the base of the mountain.
Alongside some we used to hate
Being in the company of those previously disliked.
And also some we used to quietly ignore
Being alongside individuals once ignored.
And those that we had wronged
Considering those who were wronged.
And all those who suffered long
Recognizing those who endured suffering.
And maybe those who left us bleeding on the floor
Possibly acknowledging those who were hurt or betrayed.
Well if we’re headed down to Zion
Contemplating a journey to Zion.
To make peace before Messiah
Seeking reconciliation before the arrival of the Messiah.
Don’t make sense for us to argue all the way
Emphasizing the futility of arguing during the journey.
We are sisters, we are brothers
Affirming a familial bond among individuals.
Lets make peace here with each other
Advocating for peace and unity among the gathered community.

Expressing the desire for the Messiah's presence on this journey.
