They made activism trite

They made honor optional
Honor became an optional or disregarded value.
They made propaganda news
They transformed propaganda into what is presented as news.
They made science radical
They portrayed scientific inquiry as extreme or subversive.
They pulled your teeth til you smiled and agreed
They silenced your dissent until you complied with a smile.
They slit you throat and buried you at sea
They metaphorically silenced you and disposed of you without trace.
All for the land of the free
All of this supposedly in the name of freedom.
