Lyrics

I’ve rambled ‘round this country

I've traveled extensively throughout this country.

My old guitar in tow

I've carried my old guitar with me wherever I've gone.

From New York City’s bright lights

From the vibrant lights of New York City,

To Nashvilles Music Row

To the famous music district in Nashville,

I tapped my feet on Bourbon Street

I've experienced the lively atmosphere of Bourbon Street

And Mississippi mud

And the thick, rich soil of Mississippi.

But now you’ll find me way out west

Currently, I am located in the western part of the country

‘cause that’s what’s in my blood

Because it feels like this region is where I belong inherently.

I’m swingin’ out West

I'm enjoying and embracing the lifestyle out West.

Got a herd of Longhorns lowin’ ‘neath the stars

There's a herd of Longhorns, cattle, beneath the night sky making low sounds.

Swingin’ out West

Living and reveling in the West, where I was originally born,

Back where I was born and they play those twin guitars

Where the music involves twin guitars.

So jump a mellow riff and ride it out

Join in the relaxed musical improvisation and enjoy the ride.

Come on now and be our guest at the rhythm address

Come and be part of the rhythmic experience,

You’re swingin’ out West

Living the lifestyle and embracing the culture of the West.

A steel guitar is stealin’

A steel guitar is capturing your emotions tonight,

Your heart away tonight

While the piano creates an energetic ambiance,

That ol’ piana’s rockin’

And the musicians are getting into their performance.

And the boys are getting’ tight

A melancholic fiddle is beckoning you,

There’s a lonesome fiddle callin’ you

So join the journey it invites you to.

So climb aboard that train

As the night sky gleams with stars and the moon shines bright,

‘cause the stars are out, the moon is high

There's an abundance of musical rhythm resonating through this western environment.

There’s rhythm on the range

Music and rhythm are prevalent in this western setting.
