I've been waiting for the sun to shine on me
Hoping for a positive turn of events, waiting for happiness.
Sick and tired of the heartbreak
Fed up with emotional pain and disappointment.
Still fulfilling my own prophecy
Still working towards what was predicted or prophesied for oneself.
Man, oh man, I know I'm not asking for much
Expressing a humble desire despite the challenges faced.
Please understand, it's been a lot lately

The stern is sinking and the bow begins to break
Indicating the weakening and vulnerability of another part of the boat.
Papercut and port side seasick
Referencing the small but painful issues faced during hardships.
Origami crumbles awfully quick
Expressing how fragile situations can quickly fall apart.
