I confront a divine entity while moving backward into a state of torment.
On your knees you worship a god that failed
You kneel and venerate a god who has proven to be unsuccessful or ineffective.
Where is your saviour, I'll watch him bleed
I challenge the existence and efficacy of your savior, even anticipating witnessing their suffering.
NO ONE DIED FOR ME
No one sacrificed their life on my behalf.
Your god sits on a crumbling throne
Your deity is depicted as being in a state of decline and instability.
You have faith cos you're scared you're all alone
You hold onto faith due to fear and the sense of isolation.
In the end there's only death and dust
In the end, only death and decay remain.
And the cries of the lost because your god is unjust
The suffering and lamentations of the forsaken persist because your god is perceived as unjust.

Every breath brings you closer to your inevitable demise.
You're closer to your death
Your faith comes with a price, and that is the proximity to death.

Your unwavering belief has imposed a burden or sacrifice.
You're nailed to your own cross
You are metaphorically crucified by your own convictions.
Row upon row of godless dead
A multitude of lifeless individuals without a god.
If there is a God above
If there is a higher power, how can humanity endure not becoming divine?
How could man bear not to be one
The journey into darkness is inevitable.
Descending into darkness
Reciting solemn songs of hatred and fear while descending into darkness.
