Lyrics
I run down the street, with all the wandering things
I am running down the street surrounded by various things
Everyone can see, the world is coming free
It's evident to everyone that the world is becoming liberated
The monumental minds will dangle on a wire
Intellectual minds will be precarious, hanging on a wire
The great enormous wall, eventually will fall
The immense wall, a symbol of power, will eventually crumble
And all the world is waiting
The world collectively anticipates a significant event
To lay beneath the water
There is an expectation to submerge beneath the water
To use up from the ruins
To emerge from the remains and rebuild
And climb up from the bottom
To overcome challenges and rise from the bottom
I thought I heard you say, “The end is on the way”
There's a belief or expression that suggests the end is imminent
I thought I heard you sing a million lovely things
Perceived hearing of beautiful, positive expressions
I thought I heard you cry, a howling through the night
Perceived hearing of cries, possibly indicating distress or longing
An everlasting scream, to echo through your dreams
An enduring scream that resonates in dreams
And all the world is waiting
The world collectively waits for something
To lay beneath the water
An expectation to submerge or surrender to a transformative experience
To rise up from the ruins
To rise again after facing destruction
And climb up from the bottom
To ascend from a low point or adversity
It was always growing there, a dim light in my eyes
A persistent, faint light in the speaker's eyes
Coming on to lead me through the night
This light guides the speaker through the night
All at once then slowly every sound you’ve ever known
All sounds, suddenly and gradually, become a universal hum
Is hummed by all the world in a drone
This hum is a collective resonance echoed by the entire world
