Lyrics
You cannot sit in silence if you stand for change
You must actively speak out if you advocate for change, silence is not an option.
There's nothing stopping us from making waves
There are no obstacles preventing us from creating significant impact.
Waves in the stasis changing who we are
Actions disrupt the status quo, transforming our essence.
But we were never to know what could have been
We were never aware of the possibilities that could have unfolded.
And when we break these chains they'll become our whips
Breaking free from constraints can turn them into instruments of oppression.
No longer will we be stuck throwing bricks
Liberation from throwing bricks signifies progress.
Forced to embrace the flames by marketing scum
External forces, driven by commercial interests, force us to confront challenges.
Reminding me of a nation's stains
Elicits thoughts of a nation's historical wrongs and regrets.
Reminding me
A recurring reminder of past mistakes.
Endless
An enduring and uninterrupted state.
Calls for an end to the endless bloodshed
Strong appeals for an end to ongoing violence.
Screaming into an ear but the nerves are dead
Vociferous protests may be futile if not heard or acknowledged.
We can run all of this without them
We have the capacity to manage everything without external control.
But without us they'd be condemned
Without our involvement, others would face condemnation.
It's us versus them
There is a clear division between us and them.
While they drink up hate like it's fucking water
They actively consume hatred, while we observe the ongoing conflict.
We will bide our time and just watch the slaughter?
We will wait patiently and witness the consequences of their actions.
I guess we've found our way learning to love the disarray
We seem to have found a path to appreciate and embrace chaos.
Engendered with such misery it is clear to me
Enduring profound sorrow, it becomes evident.
That you're your racist ancestors' deadbeat progeny
You embody the negative traits of your prejudiced ancestors.
The humane face of the human race will disintegrate
The compassionate facade of humanity will disintegrate.
It's looking bleak at best
The situation appears grim or discouraging at best.
Will we ever rest
Will there be a point of respite or continuous unrest?
Or will we kill it at the root?
We must eliminate the problem at its core.
Kill it at its toxic root
We must eradicate the harmful origin of the issue.
