Wisdom's shadows constitute your true essence.
To hide what may distinguish or distract
You use these shadows to conceal or downplay distinguishing features or distractions.
What forces life's existence to conceal
These shadows help in concealing the forces that drive life's existence.
Were it not of mysterious attract
Without mysterious attraction, life would lack a compelling force.
If thou wer'st not for my eyes without shape
Your form is shapeless to my eyes.
And thou wer'st visualized and undeduced
If visualized and understood, you would lose your mystery.
Thy sight would make the uncertain escape
Your sight prevents uncertainty from escaping, revealing an inevitable destiny.
And show the destiny to whom I'll be reduced
This sight shows the destined outcome to which I will be reduced.
The fears, uncertanties and strong suspense
You create fears, uncertainties, and strong suspense by dwelling in darkness.
Canst thou create by soaking in the dark
By immersing in the dark, you generate these emotions and uncertainties.
My spirit, my existence in the sense
Your presence saturates my spirit and existence with meaning.
Of being steady and released of any mark
This immersion results in a steady state, free from any defining mark.
But for my own relief, I'm surely kept
For my own relief, I am kept steady by wisdom's shadows.
By wisdom's shadows; and I should accept
I acknowledge and accept the role of wisdom's shadows in maintaining my equilibrium.
