Lyrics
I'm sick of the sporadic
I am tired of the unpredictable
Nature of your touch
Quality or style of your touch
I don't mean to be dramatic
I am not trying to be overly emotional
But it's just too much
But it is overwhelming
My consciousness it streams
My thoughts flow continuously
In the rockbed of my dreams
Embedded in the foundation of my dreams
My heart it quakes
My heart trembles
At the paces of the faces as they turn to steam
Reacting to the expressions turning into vapor
And that seagull screech
The sound of a seagull
Is a pale, pale white beach
Represents an empty, desolate beach
Called jealousy and shame
Named jealousy and shame
And the pain, it's the same, what's my name?
The pain is consistent, questioning identity
When you're in or out of reach
Whether you are accessible or distant
And please don't put your head on my shoulder now
Don't seek comfort on my shoulder now
'Cause the moment it leaves, my shoulder it grieves
As it leaves, my shoulder mourns until its return
'Til it gets you back somehow
Until it reunites with you in some way
My poetry it lies
My poetry is deceptive
Like my hand on your thigh
Similar to my hand resting on your thigh
My brain is soothed
My mind finds solace
As it muses and confuses all that it's surmised
Reflecting and confusing all it has concluded
And you just can't teach
You cannot instruct
Tap dancing to a peach
Tap dancing to a peach, an unconventional act
It'll fall on the ground
It will fall with a thud
With a thudding sound, I look around, wholly confounded
I am bewildered, looking around
Whether you're in or out of reach
Regardless of accessibility
And please don't put your face in my suitcase now
Don't intrude into my personal space now
When I go on a trip I just don't need that shit
When I travel, I don't need that complication
'Til I get back to town
Until I return to familiar surroundings
I'm sick of the sporadic
I am tired of the unpredictable
Nature of your touch
Quality or style of your touch
I don't mean to be dramatic
I am not trying to be overly emotional
But it's just too much
But it is overwhelming
