Is a greedy wheel of evil
Describing discourse as a selfish and harmful cycle.
Take what you can forsake your fellow man
Encouraging selfish actions at the expense of others.
And leave him writhing in the dust
Leaving others in distress or suffering.
Through my third eye I can see the sky
Perceiving a higher level of consciousness and understanding.
I see fields of violet-hued lotus
Imagining a beautiful and serene mental landscape.
Lost in a haze? Or just your starry gaze
Questioning if confusion is due to a daze or a focus on distant goals.
Can bet my mind ain't slowing down.
Asserting a mentally active and vibrant state.
Reprise - to no surprise
Repeating the message with an element of predictability.
The good will turn in your shadow
Suggesting that positive actions will cast shadows on others.
They'll hunt you down and break your jagged crown
Warning about potential consequences for standing out or succeeding.
And then they'll thank you for the fun
Ironically expressing gratitude for the negative experiences caused by success.
Take what you've heard not as a solemn word
Advising not to take information too seriously but as a gift.
But as a gift - and here's one to follow
Encouraging the audience to follow a given piece of advice.
If all else fails, forsake all the details
Suggesting to abandon details and join a less rigid or conventional lifestyle.
And come and join us in the mud
Inviting others to join in a less conventional or societal lifestyle.
