Lyrics
This is where it happened
This marks the location of a significant event.
We used to go there all the time
We used to frequent this place regularly in the past.
Now there's empty buildings
Now, there are abandoned structures.
Decomposing in the evening sun.
These structures are decaying in the evening sunlight.
While those look like fountains
Despite resembling fountains, they are not functional.
We can only pass the time,
We can only pass the time, unable to enjoy the fountains.
They're sitting like they're both eating corn.
Observing the inactivity, likened to individuals casually eating corn.
I've tried to wake you up, but it's nobody home
Efforts to awaken someone, but they are emotionally absent.
I have so much to tell you, but no one to hear
There's a desire to share a lot but no one to listen.
I write it on myself with the shine of light
Expressing thoughts using the metaphor of writing with light.
Sometimes I think that I'm just painting with life.
Contemplating life as an artistic process, akin to painting.
I see my own reflection
Noticing one's own reflection in things that are falling apart.
In the things that fall apart
Suggesting introspection amidst the disintegration of surroundings.
Someday, wind
A metaphorical reference to a future event, represented by the wind.
Will shall that go through my heart?
Wondering if challenges will deeply affect the speaker's heart.
It's the only future we'll ever have!
Emphasizing that this is the only future available.
I've tried to wake you up, but it's nobody home
Reiteration of attempting to rouse someone emotionally unavailable.
I have so much to tell you, but no one to hear
The frustration of having important things to share but no receptive audience.
I write it on myself with the shine of light
Continuing the metaphorical expression of writing with light.
Sometimes I think that I'm just painting with life.
Reiterating the idea of life as a creative endeavor, akin to painting.
