I guess I don't need to
Realizing that such experiences may not be necessary.
I may never drive a fancy car
Potentially not driving a luxurious car.
Or be a movie star
Or achieving fame in the film industry.

But committing to being a source of light for the world.
I may never hold the answers
Possibly never having all the answers.
To the questions of philosophy
To philosophical questions.
Or even understand what that means
Expressing uncertainty about understanding such matters.
And I may never cure the cancer
Possibly not finding a cure for cancer.
That seems to run our busy lives
Recognizing the pervasive impact of illness on busy lives.
I guess that I'll just join in the fight
Contemplating joining the fight against cancer.
Dare I go where I can't see
Reiterating the contemplation of going beyond the visible.
And if I do will You go with me
Pondering if God will be a companion in that journey.
Myabe it's time that I just learn to believe
Suggesting the importance of developing faith.
I may never be a hero
Potentially not becoming a hero.
Or set my feet on Wall Street
Not necessarily entering the corporate world on Wall Street.
Or give the evening news
Or delivering major news on the evening broadcast.
But I believe in what God wants me to be
Expressing belief in fulfilling God's intended purpose.
