Cultivating Love: Embracing Growth Amidst Life's ChaosLyrics
My psychiatrist
Expressing a connection with a mental health professional, possibly seeking guidance or therapy.
Told me to track my mood, and
Following the advice of the psychiatrist to monitor and record emotions or mental states.
Today I feel like, I wanna sing
Feeling the desire to express oneself through singing as a way of coping or communicating emotions.
And my therapist
Acknowledging the involvement of a therapist, suggesting ongoing mental health support.
Told me to walk in to
Being instructed by the therapist to confront challenging situations or issues.
Things
Engaging with difficult aspects of life, symbolized by the abstract concept of "Things."
Things that make the pit in my stomach ring
Confronting emotionally challenging experiences that evoke a visceral reaction, like a pit in the stomach.
And so I'll take our trash
Taking responsibility for personal issues or conflicts by addressing and disposing of "trash."
And I'll go to our garden and plant it
Choosing to nurture and cultivate positive aspects represented by the metaphorical "garden."
And as it grows we'll stare like a cat,
Symbolizing growth and progress through the cultivation of positive actions and attitudes.
At a bird, in a tree
Describing a contemplative state, likened to a cat observing a bird, suggesting focus and awareness.
We could start to climb it
Exploring the possibility of overcoming obstacles or challenges, using the metaphor of climbing.
I know the love is hiding somewhere
Expressing belief that love exists but may be concealed or difficult to find.
It's not fair to make us work
Addressing the challenges and effort required in relationships, suggesting that love shouldn't come easily.
For it
Questioning the fairness of having to put effort into finding and maintaining love.
But, all that welted trash
Referring to accumulated emotional baggage or unresolved issues within a relationship.
That we built up within our lives
Highlighting the impact of unresolved issues on one's life, creating emotional scars or wounds.
If you look close you'll see
Encouraging close examination to discover the beauty or value in the struggles represented by the "welted trash."
It glimmers in the light
Suggesting that hidden within difficulties, there are moments of brilliance or enlightenment.
It's never time to rot
Stating that there is never a right time for decay or decline, encouraging continuous effort and improvement.
I know it's hard, to make sense sometimes but,
Acknowledging the difficulty of making sense of life but advocating for perseverance and trying.
We could try
Encouraging the idea of making an effort despite challenges or confusion.
