Psalm 1
Embracing Blessings: Psalm 1 UnveiledLyrics
Blessed is the man who does not walk with evil men
Blessed is the man who avoids association with evil men.
Blessed is the man who does not take council with them
Blessed is the man who refrains from seeking counsel from them.
But his delight is in the law of Yahweh
His joy comes from the teachings of Yahweh.
And on his law he'll meditate
He continually reflects on and contemplates Yahweh's law.
Through the morning through the night
His meditation on the law persists both in the morning and at night.
He will be like a tree planted by streams of water
He will thrive like a tree planted by water sources.
Yielding fruit in his season, oh what shade his leaves will give
Producing fruit in its season, providing ample shade with its leaves.
Whatever he does will live
Everything he does will prosper and endure.
Not so the wicked for they are like chaff that the wind drives away
Contrastingly, the wicked are like chaff, easily blown away by the wind.
The wind will uproot them and lead them away on the judgment day
The wind will uproot and carry them away on the judgment day.
Therefore, the wicked shall not stand
Thus, the wicked will not endure or stand.
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous
Nor will sinners find a place in the congregation of the righteous.
For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous
Yahweh is aware of the righteous path.
But the way of the wicked shall fall
However, the way of the wicked will ultimately fail.
But his delight is in the law of Yahweh
