You're refusing something, and I am also refusing something in return.
i'm not a reasonable man, i've come for it back
I am not someone who acts rationally; I am here to reclaim what belongs to me.
let 'em all in, don't you know that i love a crowd
Allow everyone to enter, as I enjoy a large gathering.
but i won't get the jokes, coz the laughter's too loud
Despite that, I can't understand the jokes because the laughter is overwhelming.
i never was slight, or silent with you
I've never been insignificant or quiet when I'm around you.
for one hour of delight, in the gathering gloom
For a brief moment of happiness in the encroaching darkness, I was vocal.
i've no reservations, i've got no room
I have no hesitations or available space within me.
for these souvenirs, to bring back for you
I don't have any keepsakes to bring back for you.
