I was laughed out of jokes
Others ridiculed or dismissed the person's attempts at humor
I was heading for a watershed
The person was approaching a crucial turning point or critical moment
But I didn’t know what it meant
The individual lacked an understanding of what this critical moment or turning point meant
I followed blind & called it belief
The person followed blindly and labeled it as belief, possibly indicating blind faith or trust in something without full comprehension
The errand making fool out of me
The person's pursuit or mission made them appear foolish
Oh can you believe!

Crossed a river/wound up in the sea

So I turned my tail for the north wood

I follow blind & call it belief
