Fireworks light up the sky as I drive home
Experiencing fireworks illuminating the sky while driving home.
This familiar feeling instilled in me
Feeling a sense of familiarity deeply ingrained within the person.
But I'm on my own
Being alone despite the familiar feeling.
I can scream out loud

Compete with the sound
Competing with surrounding sounds, possibly to cope with emotions.
And try to drown it out
Attempting to drown out the emotions with noise.
So I roll on through the fire in the sky
Continuing to move forward despite challenges represented by fire in the sky.
Through the first days of July
Navigating through the initial days of July, which may hold significance or challenges.
I will not be defined by everything that's absent from my life
Rejecting the definition of self based on what is missing in life.
So what are we doing now?
Pondering the current situation or state of affairs.
Still trying to figure out if we should do this on our own
Reflecting on the decision to pursue something independently.
I say "better together"
Advocating for unity or togetherness.
You say "take me home"
Expressing a desire to be taken home, possibly seeking comfort or safety.
I think you're scared and coming of age
Suspecting fear and the challenges of growing up in the other person.
Petrified of debts we'll pay
Feeling fear about the debts and responsibilities that come with maturity.
The cost of living accelerates
Acknowledging the increasing challenges of sustaining life.
But believe in me
Encouraging belief in the speaker despite difficulties.
I'm not afraid
Asserting personal courage and lack of fear in the face of challenges.
It won't stop until we die
Highlighting the relentless nature of life until death.
Our brains are scrambled
Describing mental confusion and imbalance.
Unbalanced
Emphasizing a situation that has gone beyond acceptable limits.
This is out of line
Stating that the current state is inappropriate or unacceptable.
But still I try to look at you and see eye to eye
Attempting to connect with someone despite challenges.
No it's not right
Acknowledging that the situation is not right.
Nt's not right
Reiterating that the situation is not right.
But still I'll fight until the smoke begins to rise
Expressing determination to continue fighting until resolution.
And when it does will you be on my side?
Prompting a question about loyalty and support when challenges arise.
