A sort of Ex-Voto
Referring to an offering given in gratitude or devotion.
With a hand full of discord that is ready to sew
Having a handful of discord, symbolizing conflict or disharmony, ready to be addressed.
And how wild it grows
Describing the unrestrained growth of something, possibly the aforementioned discord.
Dear friend of mine
Addressing a close friend.
Through brick and dime
Through challenges and small amounts of money.
Your Iscariot silver has up and lost its shine
Referencing silver associated with betrayal (Iscariot) losing its luster.
How it shined, it shined
Reflecting on the past shine of the silver.
Is there no one left to help
Expressing a sense of helplessness or abandonment.
The widow's son that fell a long way down?
Asking if there's anyone left to help the fallen widow's son.
Now I'm too many words lost down the drain
Feeling overwhelmed by too many words lost or wasted.
Gather me like rivers, gather me like rain
Asking to be gathered or brought together, like rivers and rain.
I don't mean to accuse, I don't mean to complain
Clarifying the intention is not to accuse or complain.
I'm too low to the bird for my prayer to be heard anyway
Feeling spiritually low, doubting if prayers are heard.

Navigating challenges and obstacles.
When your eyes are too far forward to know what's rolling off the back
Having a forward perspective, potentially missing what's happening behind.
A long way back
Reflecting on a long journey or distance covered.
Tilt and sway
Describing a tilting and swaying motion, possibly instability.

Referencing astrological retrograde motion, suggesting challenges.
I'm just a glutton for punishment and the kitchen's open late
Admitting a penchant for enduring difficulties, with a metaphorical kitchen open late.

Recalling a significant fall and seeking assistance.
Now there's too many keys linked on my chain

They're so heavy in my pocket, so heavy in my brain
Experiencing the weight of keys, both physically and mentally.
And I stumble and fumble for an opening
Struggling and searching for a solution or breakthrough.
But not a one of them unlock anything interesting anyway
Expressing the frustration of not finding anything interesting or meaningful.
