The desert rain frog screaming out to be heard
The desert rain frog is expressing itself loudly, seeking acknowledgment.
But the doubts inside croak out her every word
Internal doubts are vocalized, undermining her spoken words.
If she doesn't let it out then her anger will build
If she doesn't express her emotions, her anger will accumulate.
Her silent tears spilled, with her rage unfulfilled
Her unspoken rage leads to silent tears, unfulfilled and unreleased.
As small as she feels, she shrinks down even more
Despite feeling small, she tries to diminish herself even more.
Trying to ignore all the fury that she has stored
Attempting to ignore the stored fury within her.
But the compression builds the pressure, the anger grows and grows
Suppressing emotions builds pressure, and anger intensifies.
And grows from out of her stomach to the tips of her tiny toes
Anger grows from her stomach to the tips of her toes.
The complexion of her reflection staring back from a puddle
Her reflection in a puddle is confused and disheveled.
Is all muddled. Bewildered. Disheveled. Befuddled
Describing the reflection as muddled, bewildered, and befuddled.
This is not the desert rain frog that she wants to be
She is not the version of herself that she aspires to be.
This is not the desert rain frog she wants the world to see
She doesn't want the world to perceive the current version of herself.
This is not the vision of power she holds her in soul
Contrast between her current self and the powerful vision she holds within.
She can't let go let self sabotage her goal
She must overcome self-sabotage to achieve her goals.
She's a little scared to do it but she looks deep within
Despite fear, she looks within herself for strength.
And she finds
Transition to the next realization or action.
She raises her tiny head up to the sky
Raising her head symbolizes a desire for empowerment.
She wants to cry, wants to run away and just hide
She wants to express emotions but also has a desire to hide.
Closes her eyes, croaks down a nervous sigh
Closing her eyes and sighing, expressing nervousness.
Building up her courage to try
Building up courage to take action or face a challenge.
She opens her eyes and now she sees clearer
Opening her eyes signifies gaining clarity and understanding.
All of the things that she needs are within her
Realizing that everything she needs is already within herself.
To be the rain frog that she truly sees
She now sees herself as the rain frog she truly envisions.
All she has to do is take a leap of
All she needs to do is take a leap of faith or action.
