So we hit the canton de l’est highway
We took the highway named "canton de l'est,"
And we headed for Saint Adrien de Ham
Heading towards "Saint Adrien de Ham."
We didn’t need too much money
We didn't require much money for this journey,
We were happy being free from where we’d been
We were content being liberated from our past experiences.
