The journey has been tough
And I can remember when I almost gave up
Recalling a moment of almost giving up
But I've not been rejected by my fellow man
However, I've never experienced rejection from my fellow humans
And I've never had nails through my hands
No nails have pierced through my hands
But I have somebody who suffered for me
Yet, I have someone who endured suffering on my behalf

I've had disappointments they still
Dealing with letdowns that continue to happen

Expressing the inevitability of suffering in human life
They say man must suffer and it surely is so
Recognizing the commonality of human suffering
I've had mountains to climb
Metaphorically faced and will continue to face challenges
And I always will
However, I don't have to endure the ultimate challenge represented by Calvary's hill
But I don't have to climb Calvary's hill
But I have somebody who did that for me
Despite not experiencing certain hardships, I have someone who went through them for me
