Assurance of support during difficult times.
I’ll always call when I can’t hold you
Commitment to reaching out when needed.
And yes, I know it’s not the same
Acknowledgment that the support may not be identical each time.
Why do you run?

And look for holes in my armor
Asking why the person searches for flaws when not protected.
When I’m not wearing any armor?
Highlighting vulnerability by not wearing metaphorical armor.
Would you prefer we just not talk?

Well I’d do anything
Expressing willingness to go to great lengths for the person.
To leave this five story lie by the highway
Desire to escape a fabricated narrative by the roadside.
Alone with the snow ain’t as lonely
