Message of Distress
Echoes of Desperation: Unveiling a Disturbing Vision in Jude Joseph's MelodyLyrics
I'm sending out a message of distress
I am expressing a distress signal.
My patience has run thin
My patience has reached its limit.
And as a consequence, I guess
As a result, my conviction has weakened.
As has my conviction
My determination or belief has also diminished.
I've been seeing visions of a Revelations nature
I've been experiencing apocalyptic visions.
And I'd wager that we ain't about to make it past the Rapture
I believe we are approaching a significant, catastrophic event.
And I sought refuge in stormwater drains
I sought refuge in stormwater drains, possibly metaphorically representing a search for solace.
Unlearned the old traditions
I've unlearned old traditions that held us back.
That have acted as an anchor attached to our ankles
These traditions were like anchors tying us down.
Found the angles that project our lines to intersect
I've found new perspectives that allow our paths to cross.
If only for a second
If only briefly or temporarily.
Read the wisdom left embedded in the remnants, said
I've gained insight from the wisdom left in remnants.
If we weaponise this pain
If we use our pain as a weapon.
We may lay waste to a hundred of these guilty men
We could cause significant harm to those who are guilty.
Restore the ship before we sink
Rebuild the metaphorical ship before it sinks.
And start again
Start anew, create a fresh beginning.
When we laugh we get more sick
Laughter exacerbates our sickness.
Oh, so it goes, so it goes
This is the nature of things, the way it goes.
When we laugh we get more sick
Reiteration that laughter contributes to our deterioration.
So if those guilty men
If those guilty individuals persist.
Remain amongst the living
Remaining alive, the situation will not improve.
Things will never change
Change is unlikely to occur.
When we laugh we get more sick
Continued laughter will lead to more sickness.
And if things stay the same
If circumstances remain unchanged.
When we laugh we get more sick
Laughter will continue to worsen our condition.
Then throughout all our days
Throughout our lives, laughter will cause more harm.
We will laugh and get more sick
A repetition emphasizing the ongoing cycle of laughter and sickness.
