Like those dreams are somehow real

When I awaken to a bright and early morning

The promise of the day

Is the dream of life on it's way
Associating the day with the dream of life.
And the love from yesterday's dream
Recalling the love from a past dream.
Still keeps my company
The lingering presence of past love.
That piece of time you shared with me
Highlighting a special shared moment in time.
Lights me up for all to see
Feeling illuminated and visible to others.
But then the dream gets all confused by too many stories
Confusion arising in the dream due to multiple narratives.
To really be free

There's a hunger inside that constantly needs to be fed

But it's all in my head

There's a wanting that drives me down the road to the bright lights of town

But the pleasures I found
Discovering pleasures, but unable to stop the journey.
Can't stop this train on which I'm bound

And the love from yesterday's dream
Recurrence of love from a previous dream.
Still keeps my company
Continued companionship from past love.
That piece of time you shared with me

Lights me up for all to see
Continued visibility and impact on others.
But then the dream gets all confused by too many stories
Confusion returning to the dream due to conflicting stories.
To really be free
