Desire to be a pleasing and obedient child to God.

Struggling with a mind filled with distracting and confusing thoughts.
That clutter and confuse.

Holy lord spirit, set us free,
Invoking the Holy Spirit to bring freedom from unseen chains.
From chains we cannot see,
Desiring liberation from invisible bondage through divine intervention.
Come release us.
Calling for release from spiritual chains.
I wrestle not with flesh and blood,
Acknowledging the spiritual nature of the struggle, not physical.
My fight is with the one,
Identifying the adversary as the one who lost authority to God's son.
Who lost the keys of hell and death,
Referring to the keys of hell and death as lost to God's son.
To god's most precious son.
Emphasizing the significance of God's precious son in overcoming evil.
One sleepless night of anguished prayer,
Recalling a victorious night of prayer overcoming sin.
I triumphed over sin.
Triumphing over personal sin through prayer and spiritual effort.
One battle in the holy war,
Seeing life as a holy war with a promised victory from God.
God's promised me to win.
Believing in God's assurance of triumph in the ongoing spiritual battle.
