Big pile of lumber, my toolbox won't fail
A substantial amount of lumber and a reliable toolbox were essential in the construction.
Don't know what drove me, except the need to play
I am unsure about the driving force behind my actions, except for a strong desire to engage in creative activities.
Start out at dawn, and work straight thru each day
I commence my work at dawn and persistently continue throughout each day.
Some friends said "hey man, that's too much damn work"
Some friends expressed concerns about the strenuous effort involved, considering it too much work.
But some friends don't know me, probably think I'm a jerk
However, these friends may not truly know me and might have a negative perception of my character.
Some just can't understand, my motivation and drive
There are individuals who struggle to comprehend my determination and inner drive.
Each man's gotta do, what helps him survive
Each person must undertake actions that contribute to their survival and well-being.
This Barn says freedom, this barn speaks dreams

This Barn makes music, bustin' out at the seams
The barn generates music, bursting with creativity and expression.
This Barn might get old, but it's new to my soul
While the barn may age, it remains a fresh source of inspiration for my soul.

Lift up each rafter, and nail 'em in place
I meticulously raise and secure each rafter in its place.
Just me and my tractor, hot sun on my face

5 Trucks of concrete, to bring on the pain

2 Long years, 40 long poles
The construction process took two long years and involved the placement of 40 poles.
5000 Nails... beams deep in their holes
