Apprehension about sinking further into emotional distress.
Into this hole my head
Describing the mental struggle as a deep hole.
Has dug for me
Acknowledging the self-destructive nature of one's thoughts.
I watched the river flow to the sea
Observing the flow of a river and drawing a parallel to life.
And i want that to be like you and me
Desire for a relationship to be as natural and effortless as the river's flow.
We can grow together
Expressing a wish to grow and evolve together.
Like a bird who lost its feathers
Comparing personal growth to a bird regaining its feathers.
I blare my music in the car
Using music as a coping mechanism or distraction.
To drown out all the sounds it makes
Trying to drown out troubling thoughts and emotions.
