Lyrics
Jack and Jill went up the hill
Jack and Jill embarked on a journey up the hill.
To fetch a pail of water
Their purpose was to retrieve a container filled with water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown
During the climb, Jack fell and suffered an injury to his head.
And Jill came tumbling after
Shortly after Jack's fall, Jill also tumbled down the hill.
Up Jack got and home did trot
Jack recovered and hastily made his way back home.
As fast as he could caper
He moved swiftly, perhaps in a playful or excited manner.
He went to bed and bound his head
Upon returning home, Jack retired to bed and tended to his injury.
With vinegar and brown paper
He used vinegar and brown paper to treat his wounded head.
Jack and Jill went up the hill
Again, Jack and Jill set out to fetch water from the hilltop.
To fetch a pail of water
Their purpose remained the same: to obtain a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown
Once more, Jack experienced a fall, resulting in a head injury.
And Jill came tumbling after
Following Jack's mishap, Jill also fell down the hill.
Up Jack got and home did trot
Jack swiftly recovered and returned home again.
As fast as he could caper
He moved speedily, likely in a lively manner.
He went to bed and bound his head
Once back home, Jack attended to his injury by wrapping his head.
With vinegar and brown paper
He used vinegar and brown paper once more to treat the wound.
Jack and Jill went up the hill
Jack and Jill repeated their trip to the hill for water.
To fetch a pail of water
Their objective remained consistent: to retrieve water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown
For the third time, Jack fell and suffered a head injury.
And Jill came tumbling after
After Jack's fall, Jill also tumbled down the hill once again.
