Let's suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream you wanted to dream

Exploring the idea of having the ability to dream any desired dream every night.

And that you could, for example, have the power within one night to dream 75 years of time

Imagining the power to experience 75 years of time in a single dream.

Or any length of time you wanted to have

Freedom to choose the length of time for the dream.

And you would naturally, as you began on this adventure of dreams, you would fulfill all your wishes

Expectation of fulfilling all wishes during the adventure of dreaming.


You would have

Transition to a state of having various pleasures in dreams.

Every kind of pleasure

Describing the experience of every kind of pleasure in dreams.

And after several nights of 75 years of total pleasure each

Reflecting on the cumulative joy after several nights of dreaming.

You would say, well, that was pretty great

Expression of satisfaction with the dream experiences.


But now let's have a surprise

Proposing a shift to unpredictable dreams, beyond conscious control.

Let's have a dream which isn't under control

Suggesting the desire for dreams that are not under control.

When something is going to happen to me that I don't know what it's going to be

Anticipation of unknown events in dreams and the excitement it brings.

And you would dig that and come out of that and say, wow, that was a close shave, wasn't it

Reflecting on the thrill of narrowly escaping a surprising dream event.


Then you would get more and more adventurous

Encouraging increased adventurousness in dreaming.

And you would make further and further out gambles as to what you would dream

Pushing boundaries in dream content, taking greater risks.

And finally, you would dream where you are now

Arriving at the present moment through a series of adventurous dreams.

You would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today

Connecting the dream world to the current reality, suggesting dreams shape life.


That would be within the infinite multiplicity of choices you would have

Highlighting the infinite choices available in the dream world.

You would play that you weren't God

Playing the role of not being God in the dream scenario.

Because the whole nature of the Godhead, according to this idea, is to play that he's not

Exploring the concept of God pretending not to be divine.

The first thing he says to himself is, man, get lost

God choosing to lose oneself for the sake of experience.


Because he gives himself away

Discussing the self-giving nature of love and its role in keeping life dynamic.

The nature of love is self-abandonment, not clinging to oneself, throwing yourself out

Describing love as self-abandonment, crucial for the vitality of existence.

That keeps things moving

Emphasizing that self-abandonment is essential for the continuous flow of life.

That's the nature of life

Defining the nature of life as constantly moving and evolving.


So in this idea, then, everybody is fundamentally the ultimate reality

Introducing the idea that everyone is fundamentally the ultimate reality.

Not God in a politically kingly sense, but God in the sense of being the self

Clarifying the notion of God as the self, not in a political sense.

The deep down basic whatever there is

Referring to the deep-down basic essence of existence.

And you're all that

Affirming that everyone embodies the ultimate reality.


Only you're pretending you're not

Highlighting the paradox of pretending not to be the ultimate reality.
