Till we come to ruins

Highlighting the potential for growth and healing through love.
Our brokenness will heal us
Asserting that embracing brokenness can lead to personal and collective healing.
As we rise from dust
Symbolizing a transformative journey rising from humble beginnings.
Will we feast on bread
Contemplating whether sustenance comes from basic necessities or more extravagant desires.
Or richer things
Questioning the nature of fulfillment and what truly satisfies.
To fill all the emptiness
Addressing attempts to fill emotional voids with external pursuits.
We tried our hardest to cover
Acknowledging the futility of trying to cover deep-seated issues.
Run into the ground
Persisting in actions that lead to exhaustion and depletion.
Busy mutes the sound
Being occupied to the extent that it numbs the awareness of inner turmoil.
That settles upon us when
Describing the profound silence experienced when facing inner conflicts.
We find ourselves in the silence
Reflecting on the discomfort of silence and self-reflection.
How many times is enough
Repeating the question about the frequency of self-destructive behavior.
To bury ourselves in the rubble
Questioning the wisdom of burying oneself in the consequences of one's actions.
We could start again
Recognizing the potential for renewal and starting afresh.
But if we never change
