19, moved out on my own
At 19 years old, I moved out and lived independently.
Only a couple of G's but man I had dreams
Though I had limited funds (a couple of thousand dollars), I had ambitious aspirations.

Believing in your dreams is essential when you aim to achieve them.

Persistence and determination are necessary to attain your goals.

One must be prepared to strive relentlessly to accomplish their objectives.
Only been searching for better things
My pursuits have only been directed towards finding better opportunities.
I am the eye of the storm
I am calm and composed amidst chaotic situations.
Never been letting the bad weather get to me
I refuse to let adverse circumstances affect my mood or determination.
Look at the way that I dropped all the weight
I've successfully shed a significant amount of weight, indicating personal growth.
I had to change, I had to bloom
I had to change and evolve as a person.
Down a hundred pounds
I managed to lose a considerable amount of weight (100 pounds).
Look at the way that I light up the room
I bring positivity and light into the environment I'm in.
That's sacrifices, if you want it bad, then you gotta know what your appetite is
To achieve one's goals, sacrifices must be made and one must understand their desires.
And I want it bad, eat anything in my path
I am fiercely driven and will do whatever it takes to achieve my objectives.
Only way that I got women to look at me was make them laugh
Previously, I used humor to gain attention from women.
And now that i'm looking back all I can say is

Checking for checks to come in the mail
Anticipating checks in the mail to cover expenses.
I had to just count up my change
Counting and managing money, even in small amounts.
Insufficient funds I had to put it back
Insufficient funds led to putting items back while grocery shopping.
Leaving Ralphs, skating home, empty backpack on my back
Returning home with an empty backpack after shopping.
Those are times that made me snap
Difficult times that pushed me to my limits.
That those are times that made me Matt
These experiences shaped and defined who I am today.
Those are times I'd never ever take em back
I don't regret these tough times as they contributed to my growth.
