Yearning for Bonds: Mavourneen's Poetic Reflections on ConnectionLyrics
As I stumble into this house
Entering a house in a clumsy manner
Up pale flights of stairs
Climbing stairs that lack color
In between of walls that carry each other
Within walls supporting each other
To rest on the careless ocean floor
Resting on the ocean floor without care
Cold water
Encountering cold water
Swept by the water
Being swept by the water
The carpet moves like a tongue
The carpet moves metaphorically like a tongue
As pressure builds behind
Pressure building behind, perhaps tension or stress
Window glass
Observing the impact on window glass
Cold water
Encountering cold water again
Front door bursting open
The front door suddenly bursting open
Words forming
Words forming, expressing thoughts or emotions
I want a bond
Expressing a desire for a bond, a connection
Not a chain
Preferring a bond over a restrictive chain
Give me a bond
Reiterating the desire for a meaningful bond
And not a rope
Choosing a bond over a potentially harmful rope
