Everything was close together
Objects and memories were closely connected
When I woke up today
Things seemed close together when waking up
The Welcome mat
The welcome mat symbolizes hospitality
Destroyed by the cat
Destroyed by a cat introduced into the home
That I let in one day
Letting a disruptive element (cat) into life
It could not settle down
The cat could not settle, indicating unrest or discomfort
So I had to let it go
