Mainstream political philosophy grew out of Christian teleology.
Highlighting the influence of Christian teleology on political thought.
Despite the claims on the packaging, all the liberals and the communists, all the people making promises, are pigs to a man and their premises are all the same.
Criticizing liberal, communist, and promise-makers as hypocritical and sharing similar foundations.
Everything is getting worse,
Expressing a pessimistic view that everything is deteriorating.
Which hardly comes as a surprise
Noting that the worsening situation is not surprising.
No one guaranteed anything else,
Reminding that no guarantees were made for a better outcome.
So dry your eyes and pull yourself together,
Encouraging resilience and advising against excessive emotional reactions.
Because things will keep on getting worse.
Stating the belief that things will continue to worsen.
The guys in white will never win,
Suggesting skepticism about the likelihood of those in power achieving success.
And I doubt we’ll ever heal the world.
Expressing doubt about the possibility of global healing.
But we can begin by learning how to deal with
Advocating for addressing conflicts instead of ignoring them.
The conflicts that arise between us, instead of pretending they’ll go away.
Rejecting the idea that conflicts will disappear and urging proactive resolution.
It’s better to light a candle than to fantasize about a sun.
Encouraging positive action, implying it's better to do something practical than to indulge in unrealistic fantasies.
