Lyrics

I see no stability in history

I perceive a lack of stability in historical accounts.

Since we're finding lies upon lies upon lies

Observing a pattern of discovering falsehood upon falsehood.

Yet you base your life on inconsistencies

You build your life on contradictory information.

None of which have any backings provable

No supporting evidence backs up these inconsistencies.

I'm not saying it's bunk to learn

I'm not dismissing the value of learning.

What we believe happened before

It's not wrong to study what we believe happened in the past.

Because they've all agreed upon the lie

All historical accounts agree on a false narrative.

And it's probably somewhere near the truth

The truth might be somewhere close to the agreed-upon lie.

But I'd much rather base my life

I prefer to center my life on what is observable.

Around anything that's here before my eyes

Preferring things that exist in my immediate surroundings.

Anything that's tangible

Focusing on things that are tangible and real.

Anything that's a definite fact

Embracing only definite and proven facts.

Resting on the laws of physics

Relying on the principles of physics for a solid foundation.

Everything we need to know

Everything we need to solve problems is within reach.

To solve our problems

Implicit suggestion that understanding physics is key to problem-solving.

Somewhere

Somewhere unspecified but accessible.

Around us
